Committed to Excellence This year proved to be another fun and exciting gathering for our 18 th annual RISynergy User's Conference. The meeting was held in Houston, TX. After so many years of holding the conference, returning users enjoyed seeing old friends and networking with others in the industry. New users got to see what all the fuss is about! The brainstorming sessions were (as always) a lively and thoughtful discussion of ways to improve RISynergy. The two winners of the “Best Brainstorming Ideas” were Todd Holzclaw from Auburn Regional Medical Center & Irma Gallegos from McAllen Medical Center. This year also debuted the school teacher. She was tough (but fair) and totally hysterical. The following classes were held at this year's conference providing information and ASRT Continuing Education credits: • Patient Systems and Allergies • Scheduling • Streamline your Workflow • Personalize your RIS • Crystal Reports • New Features in the Task Center • Working with Addendums • Case Studies: A Panel Discussion regarding Voice Recognition and PACs • Mammography Updates • Mammography Reporting (with a Guest Speaker) • Advanced Features • RIS Administrator Support • RISynergy on the Drawing Board The evening events included an informative tour and dinner at Space Center Houston, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a rolling time at a Mystery Dinner Theater.
